ArcView StreetMap 

The ArcView StreetMap extension provides street-level geocoding and display for the entire United States.  The CD-ROM includes data for landmarks, all streets, and other features to produce a complete map out of the box.   The street data can converted to ESRI shapefiles.  The CD-ROM  includes data for over 31 million road segments across the United States as well as many other landmark feature: airports, hospitals, parks, rivers, lakes, counties, and states, all with ready made legends.

With the ArcView StreetMap extension, you can create local street shapefiles of any area in the United States.  By zooming into the area and using the "Convert to Shape" file function you can export the street for any area.  A core function of ArcView StreetMap is an easy-to-use nationwide geocoder.  Using address information and ArcView geocoding engine, you can locate a single address on a map or locate list of address to map distribution and population patterns.

ArcView StreetMap features:

• Creates points from address in a file 
• Control geocoding with spelling sensitivity, minimum match scores. 
• Allows street intersection matching
• Use StreetMap shape files for further locational analysis or network analysis (use Network Analyst extension).
• Adjust default symbology with ArcView legend editor.
