ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst 8.1

ArcGIS Geostatistical Analyst is an extension to the ArcGIS Desktop product (ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo) that provides a suite of tools for GIS spatial data exploration and surface generation using advanced statistical methods.  Geostatistical Analyst allows users to create a surface from data measurements occurring over an area where collecting information for every possible location would be impractical.  ArcGIS geostatistical analyst give anyone with spatial data the freedom to investigate, visualize and create optimal surfaces

Geostatistical Analyst provides a logical solution to analyzing a variety of data sets that would otherwise cost an enormous amount of time and money.  In addition, to maps of prediction uncertainties, Geostatistical Analyst provides validation and cross-validation tools the allow you to evaluate the model and predictions from identifying variation in natural phenomena to assessing environmental risks.

ArcGIS Geostatistical Statistical Analyst features :

  • Deterministic interpolation technique
  • Geostatistical interpolation technique
  • Exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA)
  • Wizard for the interpolation process
  • Semivariance/covariance graphs
